Today we have finalised our ideas for the project. The main idea of the collaboration is "Perceptions of each others culture". Culture is a common interest so it was a bit of a no brainer to make this the basis for our work.
The goal of the project is for my partner and I to create opposing works and then collaborate on a work combining these opposing viewpoints.
At the moment it looks like he'll focus, at least initally on cartoons while I am going for propaganda.
Socialist realism looks like the most likely avenue I'll follow. I've actually done the cartoon style(actually I used an animu style)for representing cultural ideals in one of my previous works.

Ideally we'll create personas and start acting like them when we make our work.
We are leaving the idea of a talk show style video work open as our collaborative piece. Both of us agree its still too early to get stuck on any one idea.

People have told me Swedes are the trailer trash of Europe so at least listening to Sweddish power metal will help me make my persona if me and Jin decide to do the persona thing.
